About Machinist Academy
Machinist Academy has evolved to help others get started or advance their career in the machining and manufacturing industry. It took root in 2000, as an instructor for a Machine Tool Technology class in technical education. In 2003, the Blueprint Reading for Machinists course was launched online. The course represents an opportunity for individuals and company employees to get training in interpreting blueprints utilized every day in the machine shop or manufacturing floor. Many companies support, encourage, and promote continuing education for their employees.
Success has been measured over the years in having over 1600 students complete the course with opportunities for advancement in their career and/or achieve a higher level of job performance.
